Ghosts of the past. I found the visit to the Ehrenhalle the most thought provoking of all the sites on the parade grounds.

The images of it from the films in the documentation center are of Himmler, Hitler and Lutze walking towards the Ehrenhalle from the grandstand along a m granite road both now gone flanked by SS and SA.

Where the grandstand once stood we found a family sledding down the hill, we walked alone the route of granite path past a lone woman taking pictures of her dogs playing in the snow.

Once at the Ehrenhalle we stood in isolation, almost in the foot steps of those mentioned earlier. Nowhere else on the site did I get that sense.

The on,y people there, Eerie and poignant. Date of experience: December Andre Kramer wrote a review Dec Sao Paulo, SP 53 contributions 15 helpful votes.
